A Revelation of Days to Come

The Encounter

It was Sunday, the 6th of August. I was standing on the Temple Mount at sunset looking at the place where many believe that the Second Temple once stood. It must have been a spectacular sight. The polished fitted stones must have glistened in the light of the setting sun. I could only imagine the walls and the porticoes decorated with beautiful stones and gifts of gold that were displayed on the walls. The rabbis had a saying: “Whoever has not seen the temple of Herod has never seen a beautiful building”. 

As I stood there gazing, someone walked up behind me. “You can almost see it can’t you,” he said. Turning to look behind me I saw a casually dressed, rather well-built man that had that special look of a military officer. 

“It must have been very beautiful”, I responded.

“Indeed it was”, he said. “I have actually seen it”.

“Well you must be someone very special, '' I replied sarcastically. “It was destroyed in 70 A.D”. 

Not offended by my words at all, he responded, “I am. And I have been sent to give you some important information about what is happening in your world right now.”

I interrupted, “So, who are you, and who sent you?”

“My name is Uriel. I have been sent by your God, the Lord Jesus, to give you insight into the times you are living in and what you should do about it.”

“Yeh right!” I responded. “You expect me to believe that you are some sort of an angel or something?” But before the words even left my mouth, the man’s countenance changed and I saw a man dressed in linen, whose waist was girded with a belt of pure gold of Uphaz. His body was like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a tumult. I simply fell to my knees in shock and wonder”.

“Don’t be afraid son of man, you are greatly esteemed by the Lord and He has sent me to give you instructions for the days just ahead,” he said. “Come with me. We need to talk.”

At that, I found myself sitting beside Uriel on the Mount of Olives overlooking the Temple Mount.

Uriel began to speak, “Before the Lord Jesus was crucified, He sat right here on this Mount with Peter, James, John, and Andrew.  Michael and I were also there but the disciples were not aware of us. Jesus said to them,  “Do you see all these buildings and the Temple before us? I tell you the truth, they will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!”

“Peter asked, ‘Tell us, when will these things be?’ Then, thinking that these events were associated with the end of the age and His second coming, things that Jesus had often spoken to them about, Peter continued, ‘And what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?’”

“With this question, the Lord Jesus began to reveal the events that would immediately precede the days of the judgment of the Earth and His coming to establish His Kingdom on the Earth. I Uriel have come this day to tell you son of man that these days are now upon you. The Lord Jesus wants you and His other disciples to be modern-day ‘men of Issachar’, men who know the times and know what to do in these days preceding His coming.”

Deception

Uriel continued, “The Lord began by telling the disciples about the beginning of the great anguish and dire calamities that would precede His second coming to the Earth. He likened these events to birth pains as His Kingdom is being birthed on the Earth. These events and conditions would begin slowly but would increase in frequency and intensity reaching a climax right before His coming.”

“The first thing the Lord told the disciples was that there would be great deception in the world and many would be led astray. He was particularly concerned about people coming in His name with false teachings and prophecies. Some even claiming to be the Messiah and leading many astray. The Lord also warned that these days would be days of great unrest, anxiety, distress, fear, false doctrines, terrible moral conditions, lawlessness, and scoffers. They would also be a time of rebellion and falling away from God. All of this is foretold in the Bible.” 

Wars

“The next thing the Lord told the disciples was that these days would be days of many wars around the Earth, and many conflicts that could lead to many more wars. Further, He told them that It will be a time of much social unrest with ethnic and other social issues causing great division among the people of the Earth. These will be days of nations and kingdoms warring against one another and within nations and kingdoms, great conflicts over the right or authority to rule over the kingdom.”

Natural Disasters

“The Lord then revealed that these days would be marked by unusual famines and earthquakes around the world. Famines and earthquakes that would increase in frequency and intensity as the days of His coming draw near. He also told them that the Earth and the heavens would be shaken by natural disasters and strange events occurring around the world and in the heavens, increasing in frequency and intensity as the days before His coming draw short.”

Revelation

At this point, I interrupted, “Uriel, everything you are telling me is just what is happening in our world these days! One can’t look at the news of the day without seeing all of these events and conditions!”

“That is the point,” Uriel responded. “That is why the Lord sent me to you. You are in the days of the early birth pains! But, you are not to be frightened, for these things must take place, but His return is not yet. Many things must yet happen before the Lord’s return. Things that the prophets, especially Daniel and prophet Ezekiel spoke of, and things John the revelator spoke of in the book of Revelation.”

“But, getting back to what the Lord told the disciples about events that would come to pass just before Daniel’s last week of years, the seven years of great tribulation for Israel and the Jews. Let me tell you about these events the Lord was talking about.” 

The Antichrist

“A powerful new leader will come onto the world scene. He will be given authority and power to conquer many peoples. He will later become the Antichrist. Many scriptures from Genesis to Revelation speak of this man. This event occurs at the breaking of the first seal of the great scroll in the book of Revelation chapter 6.”

An Attack on Israel

“The breaking of the Second Seal in Revelation 6 releases war in the Middle East.  It is a war between Israel and the Islamic enemies that surround her. This is the war of Jeremiah 49, Isaiah 17, and Ezekiel 38. This war involves the Islamic nations surrounding Israel coming together to attack Israel with the intent of destroying her.  These nations will be supplied with arms and supported by Russia.”

Famine and Death

“Great famine comes at the breaking of the Third Seal and there will be economic turmoil around the world. A quart of wheat will cost an entire day’s wage. The breaking of the Fourth Seal releases death caused by the war, famine, pestilences, and the animals of the earth. A great many people on the earth die during these days.”

Martyrs

“The dire events of the first four Seals cause great persecution of both Christians and Jews. Many will be slain just because they are Jews.  Many others are slain because of their testimony of Jesus. All of these martyrs cry out to the Lord to avenge their deaths, but the Lord tells them to wait a little while longer because there are more martyrs to come.”

A Great Earthquake

“As the Sixth Seal is broken, there is a very great earthquake. The people on earth will react by crying out for protection from the Wrath of God, saying, ‘The Great Day of His Wrath has now come!’ The Lord has promised that His Church, true believers in Him, will not experience His Wrath. He promises to protect them from the Days of Judgment of the world by hiding them in His presence. This earthquake is the first sign of His Wrath and the Church will be caught up to meet the Lord Jesus in the air just before this earthquake. The Church Age now comes to an end and the Lord turns His full attention back to the Jews to complete His covenant promises to them. The next seven years will be a time of testing and refining for all of Israel.”

“As the Church is taken from the earth to be with the Lord, the task of being God’s witnesses on earth will be transferred back to the Jews. 144,000 Jews, 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel, will be marked by God with a mark on their forehead and will be commissioned to be God’s witness for the next 1260 days on earth. During these 1260 days, they will be supernaturally protected and empowered. They will be removed from the earth and protected in heaven for the last 1260 days of the last 7 years of testing spoken of by the prophet Daniel.”

The Peace Treaty

“When the Church is taken to be with the Lord, then the new leader from the breaking of the first seal will be released to fully begin his activities on earth. With the great earthquake and other natural phenomena, God will defeat the enemies of Israel and the war of the Second Seal will be brought to an end. This new leader that was released at the breaking of the first seal will take this opportunity to negotiate a seven-year peace treaty between Israel and her enemies. This new world leader will be identified by believers who know their Bible as the coming Antichrist by the signing of this treaty. At this time, this man will form a ten-nation confederacy of Mediterranean nations, nations that were once part of the old Macedonian/Roman Empires. The signing of the seven-year peace treaty will signal the beginning of Daniel’s last seven years before the Lord Jesus returns to the earth. These days are the Days of Judgment of the earth and the Days of the Wrath of God.”

Natural Disaster Judgments Upon the Earth

As Uriel paused in his discourse, I thought out loud, “I am a believer. I made Jesus my Lord and Savior. And I have heard a little about all of this. But, these things were never really taught or preached about in my church.”

Uriel responded, “This is true for many of the Lord’s followers. This is why the Lord sent me to you. Part of what you are to do in the coming days is to make all of this known to others to prepare them for the things to come. Before the Lord comes to take His Church to be with Him, He is moving by His Spirit to bring many more people to Himself and into His Kingdom. You and the other believers in Him are to be agents of this ingathering. You must know the times you are living in and be motivated to play your part in these awesome days.”

Uriel continued, “But after you and the Church are taken to be with the Lord, God’s judgments will begin to come to the Earth. The first judgments will be against the Earth itself. When Jesus breaks the Seventh Seal of the Great Scroll, it will reveal and fully releases the full Wrath of God onto the earth. An angel will take fire from the Altar of God in Heaven and cast it down upon the earth, signifying that the full wrath of God is about to be poured out. As the fire from the Altar of God in Heaven is poured out, seven angels will appear with Seven Trumpets. The Trumpets represent seven judgments that are about to be executed upon the earth. The first three judgments will occur during the first 3½ years of Daniel’s last 7 years.”

“The First Trumpet Judgment is one of fire and hail, causing one-third of the trees and grass of the earth to be burned up. The Second Trumpet Judgment will be a meteor striking the Mediterranean sea.  One-third of the sea will turn red like blood. One-third of the creatures in the sea will die, and one-third of the ships in the sea will be destroyed. The Third Trumpet Judgment will be a comet falling on a third of the rivers and the springs of water, poisoning them so as to kill many people.”

Judgments Against Mankind

“The Fourth Trumpet Judgment will cause the darkening of a third of the light from the sun, moon, and stars. The atmosphere will be so contaminated with dust and smoke from the first three Judgments that the light of the sun, moon, and stars will be obscured. It will be during these days that the real trouble for Israel and the Jews begins. The prophet Jeremiah called these days the ‘days of Jacob’s trouble’. It will all start 1230 days after the Peace Treaty is signed. The leader of the new ten-nation coalition of Middle East Nations, who has been seen as a friend of the Jews, so much so that they call him their Messiah, now shows his true colors. On Purim, 30 days before Passover and 1290 days before Christ’s return, he will stand in the Holy Place in a newly built Temple and declare that he is God. This is the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel. With anger and rage, knowing now that they have been deceived, someone kills this new leader. Then on Passover, Satan himself comes down and indwells his body and the man appears to be resurrected from the dead. It is at this point that it becomes fully evident that this man is the Antichrist of the Bible.”

“The Antichrist will have a very powerful religious figure partner beside him in these days. He is called the False Prophet. This man places a statue of the Antichrist in the Holy Place of the Temple and causes the statue to speak. He demands that all men worship the Antichrist and take the mark of the Antichrist on their forehead or right hand. They must worship the Antichrist to get the mark. Without the mark, they will not be able to buy or sell. The mark will be the name of the Antichrist, or the number of his name, which is 666.”  

“Now the Time of Jacob’s Trouble begins. The Jews, their Temple, and Jerusalem will be all “trampled down”, controlled, and persecuted, by the gentiles for the next 42 months. Satan, now incarnated in the body of the Antichrist, and his people will be allowed to attack the Jews and overcome them. This will be a time of great trouble and persecution of the Jews. There will be some that do overcome Satan during these times. They will overcome him by the Blood of the Lamb, the Word of their testimony, and by not loving their lives even unto death. However, those who take the mark of the Antichrist will be lost forever.”

“The Lord told the disciples about these days, ‘Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.  And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.  And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.  And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.  But the one who endures to the end will be saved.  And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.’”

“Speaking of these days, the Lord also told the disciples, ‘So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place,  then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.  Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house,  and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak.  And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!  Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.  For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.  And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short.  Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.  For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.  See, I have told you beforehand.  So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.  For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.’” 

“It will be during these last 3 ½ years of the tribulation that two special and powerful Prophets, also called the Two Witnesses, will appear in Jerusalem. These two men will prophesy in and around Jerusalem for the next 1260 days. They are protected and empowered by God and have the power to stop the rain, turn water to blood, and strike the earth with all sorts of plagues as often as they desire. As the two Prophets are released to do their work on earth at the mid-point of Daniel’s seven years of Tribulation, the fifth and sixth trumpets will be blown.”

Demonic Torment

“The Fifth Trumpet Judgment is called ‘the First Woe’.  Demons will be released from the bottomless pit. These demons will have the authority to torment humans for five months. However, they cannot harm the grass or the trees. These demons will appear like locusts, with stingers on their tails. These stinging demons will cause such great pain that humans will want to die, but it will be impossible to do so.”

A Demonic War

“The Sixth Trumpet Judgment will be called ‘the Second Woe’. Four great demons will be released at the Euphrates River to kill many people. These demons use a 200 million-man army to kill about one-third of mankind. The description of this army is a picture of a great far eastern army, empowered by demons, killing one-third of mankind with modern weapons of war.”

The Bowls of Wrath

“The Seventh Trumpet Judgment will be the Third Woe. Seven angels will pour out seven bowls of the Wrath of God on the people of the earth. The seven bowls of wrath will complete the days of the wrath of God. It is during these days that the Lord and His angels will complete the harvest of the people of the earth. The Lord will reap those who are saved by faith in Him during the years of tribulation. The angels will reap the evil harvest of the earth and throw the reaping into the great winepress of the wrath of God. It is also during this time that mystery Babylon, Satan’s evil world systems, will be destroyed.”

“The First Bowl of Wrath will cause foul and loathsome sores on the humans that have the mark of the Antichrist and on those who worship his image or statue. The Second Bowl of Wrath will be poured out on the sea and it will become as blood. Every living creature in the sea will die. The Third Bowl of Wrath will be poured out on the rivers and springs of water and they will become like blood. Those that drink from them die. This is done as a punishment on the people because they have shed the blood of saints and prophets. The Fourth Bowl of Wrath will be poured out on the sun and people will be scorched with great heat. The Fifth Bowl will be poured out on the throne of the Antichrist and his kingdom will become full of darkness, a “darkness” that causes men great physical pain. The Sixth Bowl of Wrath will be poured out on the Euphrates River. Its waters will be dried up to prepare the way for the coming of the kings from the east. Three great demons will also be released at this time to go out and gather the kings of the earth to the battles of the Great Day of God Almighty, the battles of Armageddon. These battles will rage from extended areas north, east, and south of Jerusalem, with Jerusalem itself at the center of the conflicts. These campaigns will cover the entire land of Israel from the plains of Esdraelon on the north, down through Jerusalem, extending out to the valley of Jehoshaphat on the east, and Edom in the south. The invaders will "cover the land". The final battle will occur in the Jezreel Valley, the Battle of Armageddon.”

“The Seventh and last Bowl of Wrath will be poured out into the air. With it, a loud Voice will cry out from the Throne in the Temple in Heaven saying, “It is done!” With this, there will be a great and mighty earthquake such as has never been before in the history of the earth. With it will be great thundering, bolts of lightning, and massive hailstones and Jerusalem will be split into three parts.  As battles in Israel rage, great cities in other parts of the world will be attacked with missiles. The destruction of Satan’s kingdom called Mystery Babylon, is described in the Bible in Revelation chapters 17 and 18. It is destroyed in one hour as the great cities of the nations that are controlled by the Antichrist are destroyed.”

The Glorious Return

“Just as it seems that the whole world is about to be completely destroyed, a Great White Horse will appear coming from Heaven. On the horse rides the King of kings and Lord of lords. His name is The Word of God.  The armies in heaven, clothed in fine white linen, will be with Him, also on white horses. As He rides into the battles, He will shout out and with one Word, it will be over. Then all of the people of the earth that worshiped served and followed the Antichrist, the kings of the earth, their armies, and all people, free and slave, both small and great, will be destroyed.”

“This is what the Lord told His disciples about this very hour. ‘Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not provide its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.  And at that time the sign of the Son of Man coming in His glory will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth and especially Israel will mourn regretting their rebellion and rejection of the Messiah, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory in brilliance and splendor.  And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet and they will gather together His elect, God’s chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.’”

When will these things be?

Once again I spoke up, “But Uriel, back to the disciples' original question. When will these things be?”

Uriel replied, “The Lord ended His discussion with the disciples addressing that question. He told them to learn a lesson from the fig tree. When it puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. So you, too know that when you see all of these things taking place at the same time, you are to know for certain that His return is very near. The Lord added that the people living when these signs and events begin will not pass away until all these things take place. The Lord also warned them that no one knows the exact day and hour of His return. He likened these days to the days of Noah. People were living their everyday lives like judgment would never come. The people of Noah’s day did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away; so will unexpected judgment and the coming of the Son of Man be.  At that time two men will be in the field; one will be ]taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.”

Be Ready for His Coming

Uriel paused for a moment. He looked at me with eyes that seemed to penetrate my soul. “Son of man,” he said. “These things being true and faithful, how then should you live? And what should be your part in all of this seeing that you are living in the days of the early birth pains of Messiah?”

Not waiting for me to answer, Uriel continued, “This is what the Lord told the disciples about that. ‘So be alert, give strict attention, be cautious and active in faith, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. But understand this: If the head of the house had known what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.  Therefore, you who follow Me must also be ready; because the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him. Who then is the faithful and wise servant whom his master has put in charge of his household to give the others in the house their food and supplies at the proper time?  Blessed is that faithful servant when his master returns and finds him doing so.  I assure you and most solemnly say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions.  But if that servant is evil and says in his heart, ‘My master is taking his time he will not return for a long while,  and begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards; the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour of which he is not aware,  and will cut him in two and put him with the hypocrites; in that place, there will be weeping over sorrow and pain and grinding of teeth over distress and anger.’”

“These are serious times my friend,” Uriel continued. “The Lord’s coming is near. Time is short. Many people do not know the Lord Jesus at all. And some know the Lord but do not know the times they are living in. These are the days of the gleaning of God’s wheat fields. You are sent out into the highways and byways; out into all the world to rescue those that are lost, and to educate and motivate other believers to take their part in these days before the coming of the Lord.”

“I will probably not see you again until we meet on the other side at the wedding. What a glorious day that will be!”

“What wedding Uriel?”, I asked.

“The Lord’s wedding,” he replied. “Did you not know that the Lord Jesus is getting married, son of man?

“Who is He marrying Uriel?”

“You my friend! You and all who have come to Him by faith. You and your brethren are the bride of Christ Jesus!”

“Just as he finished speaking, I found myself back on the Temple Mount. As I watched the sun rising in the east. Through the towers over the eastern gate of the Temple grounds a beam of sunlight fell on me. It felt like I was being physically touched  and I felt a love for the Lord Jesus like I have never felt before!”

This story is based on the Lord’s teachings in Matthew chapter 24, the book of Daniel, the book of Revelation, and the writings of various other prophets of the Bible. The scriptures quoted are from the Amplified Bible.
