1 Ch 12:32 Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command.

The sons of Issachar were intelligent men, who understood the signs of the times, well versed in political affairs, and knew what was proper to be done in all the exigencies of human life; and who now perceived that it was both the duty and political interest of Israel to advance David to the throne.Today we seek sons and daughters of Issachar, men and women who understand the times we are living in and know what is to be done in all the exigencies of human life to advance King Jesus to His throne.

This blog is devoted to seeking Biblical truth related to current world events.

A Word of the LORD for July 2021

A Word of the LORD for July 2021

July 11, 2021 – This morning our pastor spoke this word from the scriptures. It was taken as a “this day” word.

[Isa 61:1-3 NLT] 1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. 2 He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD's favor has come, and with it, the day of God's anger against their enemies. 3 To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.

The Lord Jesus spoke this word (quoting from Isaiah) in a synagogue about 1990 years ago (Luke 4:16-21). However, He did not read “And the day of vengeance of our God” (“the day of God's anger against their enemies” from the LNT). Today, the LORD is releasing this prophecy in full!

There are many prophets around the world currently prophesying this same general word of blessings and of judgment. We are entering a season of great ingathering, joy, and blessings, a time of signs and wonders, and the breaking of longstanding bondages. Truly, a season of the LORD’s favor. But with it, now the line Jesus did not read is being proclaimed; “And a day of vengeance of our God”. Righteous judgment is coming to God’s enemies.

In Context, the Isaiah 61 prophecy is written to Israel. The historical, grammatical word is all about the restoration of Israel in the last days. However, there is a story here. Principles and promises can be found here that can be applied to all of God’s children. As the LORD moves to complete this Isaiah prophecy for Israel, all of God’s children will see and participate in this great move of God. At the end of the great wheat harvest that is the church age, there will be a time of gleaning. That time has now come. This will be such a great move of God that all will see that only God could do such a thing and He will get all the glory.

But woe to those who oppose God, operate in dark and evil ways and come against (torment) His children. Righteous judgment and justice are coming to those who practice evil. Darkness is being invaded by His light! Lies and deceptions are being replaced with truth. Days of blessings and days of a great storm are coming. Are you ready? Where will the Lord find you? Will you be found safe, protected, and used as a part of this great ingathering into His Kingdom? Will you be safe in the arms of the Lord Jesus or a casualty of the justice and judgment that is also coming?

If you are not already a believer in and disciple of the Lord Jesus, now is the time to make that decision. Oaks planted by the LORD will have strong, deep, and wide roots such that they will not be shaken by any storm. Stormy days are just ahead, but you can be blessed and a blessing, safe in God’s arms and full of joy and praise in the midst of the storm if you belong to Jesus and keep your eyes on Him!
