 A parable

There once was an evil prince in a kingdom that wanted to become the king of the kingdom. The King of this kingdom had many loyal subjects who loved and served the King. The evil prince devised a plan to kill many of the King's loyal subjects and deceive the other residents of the kingdom so that they would make him their king. He had his alchemists create a deadly plague that would quickly spread throughout the kingdom. He even had them create an antidote for the plague, but the antidote was to cause even more sickness and death.

The King of the kingdom was enraged and set out to use the evil princes’ plan against him. The King caused the plague to mutate into a rather mild disease that quickly spread throughout the kingdom. This mild disease created antibodies that provided protection from the evil princes’ plague rendering it useless.  When the people of the kingdom saw what the King had done, they greatly rejoiced and the kingdom grew even stronger than it was before.

Luke 8:22-39

Jesus sets out to start a movement in the region of the Gadarenes. This movement will involve an encounter with the demonic. He gathers His disciples and sets out across the Sea of Galilee. The demons knowing that Jesus is coming cause a great storm to arise. Even though Jesus is in the boat with them they become terrified thinking that they will perish in the storm. This is a test for the disciples. Will they face the storm because Jesus is in the boat with them? Will faith in Jesus overcome the fear? At least they do turn to Jesus, awaken Him and cry out to Him to save them. Jesus then rebukes them for their lack of faith. Then, with a word, Jesus rebukes the storm and they safely arrive at the other side of the sea. When they encounter the demonic, the demons are afraid of Jesus.  He disposes of them and sends the formally posed man to start a movement in the area by telling all what Jesus had done for him.

Today, we Jesus’ disciples are facing a great demonic storm. What will our response be? Jesus will rebuke the storm, but does He want us to stand up in faith in Him and in His name rebuke the storm ourselves? Jesus has given us the authority and the power to deal with the demonic through the power of the Holy Spirit. This is a test. This time let us let our faith arise, stand and face the storm, rebuke it and start a movement that will spread through the earth to rescue many souls from the hand of the enemy.

A modern-day parable about the future

 A Story Line for “Chuck the Sequel” – a story that was never written or aired. A modern-day parable.

The original TV series “Chuck”, aired between September 2007 and January 2012, contained hints of real situations and events that would come to pass in the future, events preceding the rapture of the Christians from the earth. The story “Chuck the Sequel” will also contain hints of situations and events that will come to pass in the future. For those with “eyes to see” it will be a parable about events in our world that follow the rapture of Christians from the earth.

The background: Chuck the TV series begins with Chuck and a secret CIA computer program that inputted a complete CIA database into Chuck’s brain. Two CIA agents, Casey and Sarah are assigned to guard Chuck as he became both a liability and an asset to the CIA. The CIA soon finds that Chuck is a tremendous asset and assigns Sarah to be his handler and partner and begin training him to be an agent. Through several adventures and missions, Chuck and Sarah become friends. The cover story for Chuck is that Sarah is his girlfriend. Soon this cover story becomes reality and Chuck and Sarah develop a real boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. As their many missions continue their relationship grows to the point that they became lovers.

Many of these missions involved either Chuck or Sarah getting into desperate situations and the other one, at the last minute coming to the rescue. Many of the missions in the series revolve around the secret computer program that Chuck carries in his head.

As the story develops, Chuck and Sarah get married. The final season of the TV series are missions and adventures with Chuck and Sarah, now married and operating as an independent security company called Carmichael Industries. While they advertise as a security company, they are still working as spies. This eventually leads to a real problem involving the CIA computer program called the Intersect and the end of the series.

During their final mission as spies, Sarah sacrifices herself by putting a flawed computer program called Intersect 2 into her brain. With the power and special abilities the program gives her, she is able to save her long-time spy partner Casey (part of the Carmichael team) and herself from some very bad guys with big guns that are trying to kill them. But there are side effects of the Intersect program. Side effects that cause brain damage and memory loss. A very bad rouge ex-CIA agent takes Sarah captive and keeps Chuck and her NSA partner Casey from saving her from the bad effects of Intersect 2 and the memory loss. The rogue CIA agent lies to Sarah who has lost her memory of the past days and tries to get her to kill Chuck. These attempts fail and Sarah learns the truth about what really happened. She believes it but she does not have any memory or feelings about her past life with Chuck. She feels confused, alone, hurting, and lost, not knowing who she really is having no memory of her life with Chuck or with the Carmichael Industries team.

It is at this point in the story that the team that was Carmichael Industries breaks up and go their separate ways with a final goodbye. The last scene is one of Sarah and Chuck sitting on a beach, both lost and hurting, not knowing what the future will bring.

 

Chuck the sequel

Our story begins where the original TV series left off with the last episode of season 5. Sarah asks Chuck to tell her again about their life together as they sit on a beach that has been special to them in the past. Then Sarah asks Chuck to kiss her. After they kiss, Sarah takes Chuck’s hand and says, “I felt that”. With that kiss, the process of restoring her lost memory of their days together begins. As they leave, Sarah to her apartment and Chuck his, Chuck asks Sarah for a date.

Chuck takes Sarah to a restaurant that was a special place for them in the past. They talk about what they each are going to do to support themselves now. They decide that they will not dissolve Carmichael Industries but as business partners turn it into a strictly intelligence-gathering operation using Chuck’s technical knowledge, electronic skills, and computer skills, and Sarah’s knowledge of intelligence agencies, spies, and how the spies and spy agencies work. They agree to do this but without getting personally involved in actual physical field operations. As they are talking about all of this Sarah gets a memory flash of the two of them sitting at the same table on a date somewhere in the past.

As Chuck and Sarah launch the resurrected Carmichael Industries, they contact General Beckman, director of the CIA,  because she had given them an invitation to rejoin the CIA. They lay out their plans to make Carmichael Industries an independent contractor to provide intel information and surveillance services hoping to get some jobs from her.

The General knows that Chuck is filled with Intersect 3. This is an updated Intersect program that contains CIA information about operations and people, both good and bad. It also contains information that enables anyone with the program to have special abilities and capabilities. It is an upgraded Intersect 2, a program that had several flaws and adverse side effects. It was these side effects that damaged Sarah’s brain and her loss of memory. With Chuck’s abilities as a former CIA spy and his special abilities and information of the Intersect 3, and because of Sarah’s special effectiveness as a CIA operative, Beckman wants to get them back into her service.

A little while later Beckman calls Chuck and Sarah with a proposal of her own. It turns out that while the Buy More electronics store above an underground CIA facility called the Castle was sold, the CIA facility was never sold and the CIA retained control using it only occasionally. Beckman agrees to contract with Carmichael Industries for services and proposes that Carmichael Industries lease the Castle from the CIA, now equipped with only electronic intel gathering and surveillance equipment. She also has a first job for Chuck and Sarah.

During these early days of starting their business, Sarah finds herself working long hours as long as Chuck is around, not wanting to go back to her apartment and having to be alone. And she hates eating alone, always finding ways and excuses to have meals with Chuck. And Chuck is always more than eager to be with Sarah.

During Sarah’s nights alone in her apartment, strong emotions of loneliness sweep over her. Her nights get long and she does not sleep well. When she does sleep, she begins to dream of places and events that seem somehow familiar but there are no specific memories that come with the dreams. One night she dreams that someone is lying beside her and she reaches over to touch. But, no one is there. Bit by bit pieces of memories of the past with Chuck are beginning to reappear.

It is not many days before Sarah tells Chuck that she wants to come home but that she still needs time and space, not yet ready or able to resume the role of his wife. Chuck tells her that he made a covenant with her to love her and protect her till death parts them, no matter what happened or what the future brings, and with tears in his eyes, he welcomes her home with a great big hug.

Chuck gives Sarah their old bedroom and he moves into the guest room, hoping that her being in the room will trigger more memories.  And sure enough, one night as Sarah sleeps, she finds herself reaching over to Chuck to cuddle and for a moment was surprised to not find him there.

In the Middle East Israel has attacked Iran’s nuclear development facilities and a military installation where Iran was keeping its almost completed first nuclear bomb. In response Iran along with several other Islamic nations north of Israel and backed by Russia attack Israel. Now someone is trying to negotiate a cease-fire treaty; someone with a lot of influence in both Israel and the nations attacking Israel. Chuck and Sarah are contracted to find as much intel on this person as possible. What they find is going to change the whole world.

Their electronic search for information on this new figure on the world stage takes them to many locations in the Middle East and Europe. Some of these locations and the people Chuck and Sarah investigate are the same places and people that they encountered in their previous missions for the CIA. This again triggers a little vague but real memories for Sarah of their missions together before her memory was taken from her.

Beckman keeps giving Chuck and Sarah more jobs and often they trigger memories for Sarah of special times with Chuck. Interestingly, the memories are generally of highly emotional times when Chuck had rescued Sarah or Sarah had rescued Chuck but not of the traumatic painful events of their missions. Often the memories triggered are of their romantic encounters as their relationship developed from CIA partners to friends, then to being real boyfriend and girlfriend. The pieces of Sarah’s past like pieces of a picture puzzle are starting to come together.

The next job for Chuck and Sarah involves monitoring a mission for another security contractor led by Casey’s girlfriend Greta. Casey is now working with Greta and is on a mission in Alaska tracking down some bad guys who are involved in child trafficking. As Sarah watches on her monitor, Casey is complaining that he is as cold as he was the night he and Morgan rescued Sarah when a rogue CIA agent was trying to kill her by freezing her to death. At this, a new memory flashes in Sarah’s mind. It is Casey carrying her out of the cold room and taking her to Chuck. She remembers Chuck stripping the freezing clothes off of her leaving her naked, laying her on a bed then climbing in with her, embracing her with a full-body hug, and wrapping the both of them in a blanket. Sarah turns looking at Chuck almost blushing.

Later, on another job, Sarah and chuck are monitoring two CIA agents acting like a couple as cover on a mission. Their job is to identify some bad actors in the room for the agents. As this couple is dancing a very sensual dance, a memory of her and Chuck once doing the very same thing comes that is very strong and clear and she feels the passion that she had felt that night as she and Chuck danced. Sarah turns, looks at Chuck sitting before their monitor, jumps into his lap, and kisses him with a new level of passion and love.

During another job for Beckman, they are tracking a personage in Paris. They find him in the same hotel overlooking the Eiffel Tower as they were in after Chuck had saved Sarah’s life. The scene triggers a memory of her waking to find Chuck at her bedside lovingly taking care of her, she reaching out to him, and he climbing into bed with her as they make real love together for the first time.

Not too long after this, one night as Sarah and Chuck are retiring for the night, Sarah calls out to Chuck and asks him to come help her for a minute. As he opens the door to her bedroom, he sees Sarah standing by the bed in the very sexy red negligee that she often wore in the early days of their relationship as lovers. In her eyes was that old familiar seductive look of “please come and make love with me”. After this night they never sleep alone again.

After many more jobs for the CIA, Carmichael Industries' reputation begins to spread and they find other people and corporations contracting with them. The business is beginning to flourish.

The next big job for the CIA involves identifying and tracking down some high-level bad guys that are dealing in contraband and human trafficking. A giant meteor has fallen into the Mediterranean Sea damaging many ships in the area. Some of these damaged ships are found to be transporting military contraband, and others, victims of human trafficking. Sarah and Chuck are tasked to identify the key players in these operations and locate them so that Beckman’s agents can put operations in place to take these people down. It is a very successful operation and many really bad guys and their illegal operations are taken down.

One day Chuck receives a call from a new client, a client he was not aware of. It seems that Sarah has contracted with the client without bothering to confer with Chuck. Being a bad day for Chuck anyway, he confronts Sarah with some harsh words and gets angry with her. Sarah then gets upset and angry. As she turns and begins to walk away, a memory of their first real fight flashes before her. It was a time once before in the early days when she had done something without telling Chuck. Turning to Chuck, she just runs to him saying, “I remember the time we got mad at each other. It was terrible and I don’t want that to ever happen again. I love you so, so much”. With a passionate kiss, they get back to work.

By now the business has grown to the point that Chuck and Sarah are swamped and overworked. As they contemplate hiring more staff, the issue is who has the skills they need, and who can they trust? Though wild and crazy guys, Chuck remembers the extensive technical knowledge, and hacking skills of their old friends Jeffery and Lester. Contacting them Chuck finds that their musical careers are not going so well and they almost plead with Chuck to hire them. So, Jeffery and Lester become part of the Carmichael team and are involved in many future jobs. Their hacking skills prove to be very valuable to the team.

Morgan and Alex have been living together in the apartment next to Chuck and Sarah’s this whole while. The relationship between the two couples proves to be very valuable and effective in the process of restoring Sarah’s memory. Their daily life experiences often trigger good memories for Sarah.

Then Alex and Morgan find that Alex is pregnant. The pregnancy only draws Morgan and Alex closer but Alex’s pregnancy also provides many situations and encounters with Chuck and Sarah that draw out old feelings of someday becoming parents themselves. Sarah also begins to regain memories of special times with Chuck’s sister Elie during her pregnancy.

The event that completes Sarah’s healing occurs the day Alex delivers her baby. Chuck and Sarah find themselves in the same hospital, on the same floor, and sitting on the same bench as the day Elie delivered her baby. As they are sitting there, Sarah suddenly begins crying and laughing at the same time. Turning to Chuck, she jumps into his lap, holds his head in her hands, and begins kissing him with the passion and love that she did the day Chuck proposed to her in that very same spot. Her only words are, “I remember”.

As Sarah and Chuck go into Alex’s hospital room, while Sarah is holding Alex’s newborn, she remembers the first time she held Allie’s baby. As the memory returns, for the first time, Sarah feels a deep emotion of wanting a baby of her own.  

The business continues to flourish providing the team with a very nice income. Through many jobs and assignments from Beckman, many people are touched by Carmichael Industries. Missing and lost persons are found and rescued. Bad guys are identified, tracked, and set up to be taken down. CIA field agents find Chuck and Sarah’s support to be a large part of their successes in their missions. Their civilian clients find their services to be very valuable in difficult and sensitive situations. As a result of all this success, Sarah soon finds herself standing in from of her white with red door dream house on a beach; a very, very nice house on a beach. One more piece of Chuck and Sarah’s dreams coming true.

One special job for Chuck and Sarah occurs on a quiet night when Chuck leaves the Castle to get them some burgers and a malt. Sarah is alone in the Castle when suddenly the monitor lights up with General Beckman on the screen. One of her agents is on a mission to protect a foreign dignitary during a conference where he is a speaker. The bad guy the agent is looking for does not appear anywhere in the audience and Beckman suspects that another assassin has been assigned the job of killing the dignitary. Beckman needs Chuck with his Intersect 3 capabilities to search the audience for another bad guy and identify him to the CIA agent.

As Sarah calls up a video monitor of the scene, she sees the dignitary beginning to walk onto the stage. She also knows that Chuck is a least 20 minutes away from the Castle and they have only minutes to identify the assassin before he kills the dignitary. What Sarah also knows is that Beckman had brought Chuck some Intersect glasses with an updated program and they were right there in the room with her. She knows what she must do. She gets the glass and looks at General Beckman on the monitor.  Beckman reassures her that the updated Intersect 3.1 is very safe and controllable with no adverse side effects and if she chooses, she can use them.  Putting them on, Sarah does see the new assassin in the audience and she sees him beginning to draw a very nasty-looking, silenced handgun. She relays this intel to the agent just as the dignitary is approaching the podium. Then just as the assassin is raising his gun, he drops dead with a bullet in his head.

As Chuck returns to the Castle, he sees Sarah with this strange look on her face and he also sees the glasses on the desk before Sarah. Chuck asks, “what have you done?” As Sarah is explaining what has just occurred, she ends with, “now there are two of us with the Intersect. We are double trouble for the bad guys now”.

About this time another major natural disaster strikes the earth. A large comet passes very near to the earth dragging its tail across a large area of the earth. Deadly contamination is spread across the land especially affecting the waterways and oceans. There is chaos in many parts of the world with many people dying, many missing persons, and many ill and isolated. Beckman, several law enforcement agencies, and some foreign governments contract with Carmichael Industries to help. Chuck and Sarah put together, mobilize, and lead a large technical team to locate people and set up rescue operations. Using all the electronic tools available to them they identify, locate, and direct rescue and medical teams to those missing, lost, and/or very sick needing immediate medical attention. A great many people are saved due to the efforts of Chuck and Sarah’s team.

It is not long after this that situations in the world grow very dark, both literally and figuratively. Contamination in the air from natural disasters, and large oil field fires have significantly dimmed the light from the sun. Unusual changes in the sun itself only add to this problem. The problems are further compounded by political unrest, especially in the Middle East. The man who negotiated the cease-fire of the war against Israel has grown in power and influence. He is trying to extend his influence and power over several nations in the Middle East, Europe, and even Russia and the Far East. This is causing serious unrest and trouble in these areas of the world. To compound these problems, very serious internal problems have arisen in the West, especially in America.

About the time the original Carmichael team dispersed, serious changes occurred in the government agencies of America. Many people came into power that are doing great damage to the democratic foundational principles of the nation. As they attempt to drive the nation to become socialistic and part of a new one-world global government, the resistance among the people of America grows. General unrest and displeasure with the government are causing mass protests, riots, civil disobedience, and a general atmosphere of chaos. All of this plus a generally negative political position against Israel is keeping America essential out of the situation in the Middle East.

In Israel, a very, very bad situation has developed. Just as a new Temple is completed in Jerusalem, the man who negotiated the cease-fire treaty stands in the Holy of Holies in the new Tempe, demands that the Jewish sacrificial rituals cease, and declares to the whole world that he is God. The whole Jewish world suddenly goes berserk. Other nations are involved as the man now demands that all people worship and obey him. He reveals that he and a coalition of ten other nations under his leadership control much of the world's financial systems and that he has put together a very large and dangerous army. Like a mad man drunk with power, he begins to persecute and even kill those who do not obey and worship him, especially Jews. The trouble and tribulation in Israel are so great that it is called, “the time of Jacob’s trouble”.

Even as Carmichael Industries is getting involved, Chuck and Sarah decided that they want to renew their vows and get “married” again. As they share this with Morgan and Alex, they also decided it is high time that they get married. Together both couples begin planning the weddings. One important part of this is to get the whole Carmichael team and all of their family members back together for the weddings. This will be no easy feat in light of who some of the team and family members are, where they are, and what they are doing.

In light of the turmoil in the nation, and indeed in the world, and the problems and dangers of getting all these people to gather in one place, they are going to need a very, very, safe and secret place to hold the weddings. For this, they turn to their old friend General Beckman.

In a call to Beckman, Chuck and Sarah ask her if it would be possible for her to arrange for a very safe, secure, and secret place where they could gather and hold the weddings. In gratitude for all Carmichael Industries and Chuck and Sarah have done for the nation, Beckman begins making calls.

Soon the General calls Chuck and Sarah telling them that she has a place for them. At an appointed time, they are all to go to a particular airport where Beckman will have some of her people pick them up and take them to an undefined, secret facility for the weddings. It will turn out to be a very, very nice facility.

With the resources at their disposal, Chuck and Sarah are able to contact everybody and make arrangements for them to get to the designated airport at the appointed time. From there they are all escorted to a very special secret government facility where a reunion of all reunions takes place. As family members are reunited and old friends share stories of their adventures together, there are many tears and much laughter as they prepare for two very special weddings. For all, it is a very emotional and special time as Morgan and Alex exchange vows and Chuck and Sarah renew the vows that they made to each other so many days ago.

The last scene of this story is of Morgan and Alex, and Chuck and Sarah, decked out in all white beautiful wedding apparel, standing before all of their friends and relatives against a most beautiful scenic background. As they embrace and kiss, their families and friends break out in great rejoicing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Parable Explained

The story is of Sarah regaining her memory and identity piece by piece.  Beginning with the days of being a partner with Chuck, the story takes them through the days of becoming boyfriend and girlfriend, then lovers, then a married couple.

The parable is about the days after the rapture of the Church as presented in the Bible.

The good Intersect 3 is the Holy Spirit.

The corrupted Intersect in the power of Satan

The bad guys represent servants of Satan whether they know it or not.

The dispersion of the Carmichael team is the rapture.

Chuck represents the 144K Jewish believers working during the first 3 ½ years of the tribulation.

Sarah represents those who become believers right after the rapture who do yet know who they are as born again, Spirit-empowered children of God.

The new leader in the world is the Antichrist.

 Chuck, Sarah, the old Carmichael team, their families, and friends represent all who become Christians during the first 3 ½ years after the rapture and are taken to a special, secret place to be protected and cared for during the last 3 ½ years of the tribulation.

The reunion is symbolic of all the saints being gathered together to return with Jesus at His second coming.

The wedding is symbolic of the wedding between Jesus and His church, all believers in Jesus down through the ages. The bride of Christ now becomes His Queen to rule and reign with Him for one thousand years on the earth.

 The parable is about churchgoers that are left behind at the rapture. Then right after the rapture, they really give their lives to Jesus and become born-again believers. At first, they do not know who they are as children of God. The story is about them finding their true identity as they are discipled by the 144 thousand Jewish evangelists. Through many adventures, they learn who they are as born-again, Spirit-empowered believers, and the bride of Christ. Together with the 144 thousand, they rescue many people from the terror of Antichrist’s kingdom during the first 3 ½ years of the 7-year tribulation. They also grow in the love of God. From just knowing about Jesus, they grow through stages of becoming friends, to first falling in love, to the intimacy of knowing that they are the bride of Christ. Then they find themselves with the 144 thousand, being carried away to a secret place where the Lord protects and cares for them during the last 3 ½ years of the tribulation. Then comes the wedding at Christ’s return and the great wedding banquet where they and all believers down through the ages become the wife of Jesus the King and rule and reign with Him on earth for 1000 years.

 

What is really going on in our world today - The Real Story

Spy Versus Spy – The Real Story

Have you ever watched those spy versus spy movies or TV series shows? You know, the ones where the spy/intelligence agencies get infiltrated by rogue agents and they are continually in desperate battles yet miraculously the good guys always win. This is the fantasy world of the spy versus spy world. The endings are very predictable because the stories are scripted long before they are seen on the silver screen or TV.  If you read the script before seeing the movie you already know the ending. There are no surprises. The real-world spy versus spy world is very different and much more terrifying than the fantasy world. Our world today is living in a very real and terrifying day of “spy versus spy”. Only this time the infiltrated agencies are not just the spy/intelligence agencies. In our world today an evil enemy has infiltrated all areas of our societies; all branches of government and law, media, education, sports, financial institutions, religion, and family. These 7 Culture molders influence the thoughts & values of any culture anywhere on earth and they have been infiltrated by evil men and women. They intend to establish a one-world government that controls every aspect of human endeavors and life.

The interesting thing about all of this is that the outcome of this real spy versus spy saga can be known and just like the fantasy spy versus spy stories, the good guys miraculously win. All you have to do is read the script. This is true because just like the fantasy stories, the true story has also been written long ago and we can trust this story because much of the story written many hundreds of years ago has taken place just as the story foretold. Only the very end of this story has yet to take place, but it is beginning to unfold right before our eyes. If you read the script, you can know the ending. This script is the Bible.

So, just what does this last chapter of the true story tell us about what is happening and is going to happen? Let’s start many years ago when the mastermind of the evil scheme to establish the one-world government began to install his ideologies and people in key leadership positions in every area of the seven culture mind molders. This mastermind is not a human person but is an evil fallen cherub angel we call Satan (Isa 14:1-27). Slowly, one person at a time, he placed his people in the very top positions of society institutions including presidents, prime ministers, kings, legislators, judges, law enforcement, media, educators, athletes, bankers, and religious leaders. Then he set out to destroy morality, ethics, and all Christian values and thought. Through lies, deceptions, lusts for pleasure, money, power, fame, and position this mastermind manipulated, corrupted, and gained control over much of the population of the earth, and his strategies and tactics continue in our day. He used and still uses lawlessness, wars, poverty, and plagues, as a part of his scheme to establish his total control over the whole earth (Jn 10:10) and establish his kingdom, Mystery Babylon the great (Rev 17) in total control over all the world.

Today we see the fruit of the schemes of this evil mastermind. Our government institutions are corrupted, our education systems a dismal failure, lawlessness is rampant, media is untrustworthy, sexual distortion and perversion is everywhere, the financial institutions and systems are a house of cards ready to collapse at any time, and the very systems of law and order that we trusted to keep us free and safe are corrupted. It is a very dark and bleak picture that we paint. Even more, we see many wars and rumors of wars in our world today. The occult religion and practices are dramatically increasing and becoming more open and blatant and there is trouble and turmoil in the Jewish and Christian worlds with division and strife everywhere. Even nature is in an uproar with earthquakes, famines, and plagues throughout the world.

Indeed though, this is the picture that our true story paints (Mat 24:1-14; Mar 3-13; Luke 21:7-19). The last chapter of our true story is unfolding in our day. So, where do we go from here?

The good news is that there are strong and vibrant forces restraining all of this evil. There are good men and women within all of these areas of society that are giving their all to resist and tear down these strongholds of evil in our world today. There are patriots that love their countries and are standing up to the evil and attempting to drain these evil swamps. Some of these patriots are Christians who not only battle in the natural world but do so with a faith in God that motivates them and gives them courage and hope even in desperate situations. Then there are Christians that recognize all of this as a spiritual battle between good and evil, between God and Satan, the real mastermind behind it all (2 Thes 2:3-13). These people are battling with the authority, insights, and power of the Holy Spirit using spiritual weapons against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Acts 1:8; Eph 6:10-18; 2 Cor 10:3-6).

It is these restraining forces that are keeping all of this evil at bay. During these current days, our true story tells us that there will be trouble, wars, the love of many turning cold, lawlessness increasing, many becoming hopeless, many falling away from following the one true God, and deception overcoming many.  But for many others, it will be the best of times for the Gospel of the Kingdom of Jesus will be proclaimed throughout the whole world and many will find peace in the midst of all the storms and find salvation and eternal life in Jesus the Messiah (Mat 24:1-14).

As this season of gathering people into God’s eternal Kingdom comes to a close and all gentiles that are to be saved are gathered in (Rom 11:25-27), the force restraining Satan and his evil plan will be removed as Jesus comes in the air to take His people, His Bride home to be with Him forever (1 Thes 4:14-18; 1 Cor 15:50-58).  With all restraints removed, a man will appear on the world stage (Rev 6:1-4) to negotiate a seven-year ceasefire treaty (Dan 9:27) that will cause a war in the Middle East, an attack on Israel (Ezek 38), to be put on hold for three and a half years. It will also enable the Jews to begin rebuilding their Temple in Jerusalem (Dan 9:27).

During the next three and a half years there will be several great natural disasters. One will cause massive destruction of trees and grass. A meteor will fall into an ocean destroying ships and sea life.  Another will fall on land causing great pollution of water resulting in many deaths. All of these together will cause such great atmospheric pollution and the light from the sun and moon will be darkened by one-third. (Rev 8)

Thirty days before Passover at the festival of Purim right in the middle of the supposed cease-fire or peace agreement made three- and one-half years earlier, the man who negotiated the peace treaty will stand in the new Temple in Jerusalem, stop the sacrificial services that the Jews initiated 3 ½ years earlier, and declare that he is God. There will be turmoil in Jerusalem for the next thirty days, then at Passover, someone close to him will kill him with a small sword or dagger. Three days after Passover at the Feast of Firstfruits, this man will apparently come back to life as Satan himself indwells his body and becomes Satan incarnated in the body of a man. (Dan 11:31; 12:6-12; Rev 13:3)

Satan now incarnated in the body of a man, a man now known as the Antichrist, has a very powerful religious figure partner beside him these days. He is called the False Prophet. This man places a statue of the Antichrist in the Holy Place of the Temple and causes the statue to speak. He demands that all men worship the Antichrist and take the mark of the Antichrist on their forehead or right hand. They must worship the Antichrist to get the mark. Without the mark, they cannot buy or sell (do anything commercially). The mark, the name of the Antichrist, or the number of his name, is 666. (Rev 13)

The Jews, their Temple, and Jerusalem are all “trampled down” (controlled and persecuted) by the Antichrist and his forces for the next 42 months (3 ½ years or 1260 days). Satan (now incarnated in the body of the Antichrist) and his people are allowed to attack the Jews and overcome them. This is a time of great trouble and persecution of the Jews; the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jer 30:7). Some do overcome Satan during these times. He is overcome by the Blood of the Lamb, the Word of their testimony, and by not loving their lives even unto death. However, those who take the mark of the Antichrist are lost forever. (Rev 12:7-12; 14:9-11)

The last half of these seven years of tribulation are filled with overt demonic activity. First demons are released to torment humans for five months. Then more demons are released to kill a great number of humans. These demons use a 200-million-man army to kill about one-third of mankind. The description of this army is a picture of a great demonic army or perhaps a far eastern army, empowered by demons, killing one-third of mankind with modern weapons of war (Rev 9:1-21). Finally, God finishes His righteous outpouring of wrath on those who follow the Antichrist (Satan) with seven plagues. These plagues include foul and loathsome sores on the humans that have the mark of the Antichrist and on those who worship his image or statue, the sea and rivers becoming so polluted that those in them or drink them die, the intensity of the sun increasing so as to scorch people with great heat, then a great darkness comes over the land, a darkness that causes great pain (Rev. 10:7; 11:14-19; 15:1). Then three great demons are released to go out and gather the kings of the earth to the battles of the Great Day of God Almighty (Armageddon) and the Euphrates River is dried up to prepare the way for the coming of the kings from the east to this great and final battle (Rev 16:12-16).

We are now coming near the end of the last 3 ½ years of seven years of great tribulation.  Antichrist has established his headquarters in Jerusalem and has a large portion of his army stationed in Israel. A rebellion breaks out in Egypt and Antichrist sends his troops there to deal with it. He overcomes Egypt, Libya, and Sudan in this campaign.  But then, Antichrist hears that the armies of the kings of the east are approaching from the east through Iran and Iraq and crossing the now dried up Euphrates River. At the same time, the king of the north sends his armies down to attack the Antichrist. Even though Antichrist has attempted to force his control over all the earth, Russia, China, and other Far East nations (possibly including India) have had enough. Together they attempt to attack Antichrist. Antichrist pulls his troops back into Israel. Battles begin raging from extended areas north, east, and south of Jerusalem, with Jerusalem itself at the center of the conflicts. These campaigns cover the entire land of Israel from the plains of Esdraelon on the north, down through Jerusalem, extending out to the valley of Jehoshaphat on the east, and Edom on the south. The invaders will "cover the land". The final battle occurs in the Jezreel Valley, the Battle of Armageddon. (Dan. 9:24-27, 16:12-16, 11:35-45; Rev. 18:3, 8-10, 19:17-18; Ezek. 39:2-8, 29; 2 Pet. 3:9-12)

 As battles in Israel rage, great cities in other parts of the world are attacked with nuclear missiles. Satan’s kingdom, Mystery Babylon is destroyed in one hour as the great cities of the nations controlled by Satan are destroyed (Rev 17:1-6,15,18; 18:1-24).

Suddenly a loud Voice will cry out from the Throne in the Temple in Heaven saying, “It is done!” With this, there is a great and mighty earthquake such as has never been before in the history of the earth. With it are great thundering, lightning, and massive hailstones. Jerusalem is split into three parts. (Rev 16:17-21)

Then comes the King, the hero of our story. Just as it seems that the whole world is about to be destroyed, a Great White Horse appears coming from Heaven. On the horse rides the King of kings and Lord of lords. His name is The Word of God.  The armies in Heaven, clothed in fine white linen, follow Him, also on white horses. As He rides into the battles, He shouts out and with one Word, it is all over. (Jude 14, 15; Rev. 19:11-14).

For the next 1000 years Jesus, with His Queen (the Church) at His side, rules and reigns from Jerusalem over the entire earth. (Rev 20:4-6; Rev. 5:10, 22:5)

This is the real spy versus spy story. It is the story scripted in the Bible long ago. It is a love story of God finding a bride for His Son, the Lord Jesus. It is the story of good triumphing over evil. It is the story of God establishing His Kingdom on the earth that His will may be done on earth as it is in Heaven (Mat 6:9-10). It is the Greatest Story Ever Told.

 The true story, the Bible has proven itself to be true and very accurate. It is foolish to not believe it. If you have not read it and do not know the story, it is time to do so. Your very life depends on it. Once you get to know the Man of the Bible, Jesus, you will love Him and accept Him as the Lord of your life. He is your safe passage through the days ahead of us (Psa 12:5, 17:8, 27:5, 31:19-21, 32:7, 57:1, 91:8-9, 94:12-13; Rev 3:10; Mar 16:18). He is your door into the Kingdom of God and eternal life (John 14:6).

We the true Church are a part of this final chapter of the story. During this time we have been given before being caught up to meet the Lord in the air, we are the ones who are to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom of Jesus throughout the whole world. We are the ones who are to comfort those in turmoil, bring peace in the midst of the storms, give hope to the hopeless. We are the ones to preach good tidings to the poor; to heal the brokenhearted; to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to comfort all who mourn; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God (Isa 61:1-2). We are the servants working in the wheat fields of the Lord to bring in the last great harvest (Luke 10:1-3; 2 Thes 2:19). We are also those that are restraining the works of the enemy Satan (2 Thes 2:7). We are the Lord’s warriors in a great spiritual battle. Let’s do our part in these days of the birth pains (Matt 24:8) with courage, strength, no fear, great perseverance, and great joy as we see the day of our Lord’s return coming ever closer! (Josh 1:9; Tit 2:13)

A Word of the Lord - Singing the Song of Moses

 A Word of the LORD for our day

“We shall soon be singing the Song of Moses”

This is an extension of a teaching and word of the Lord given by Johnny Enlow, 10-29-21.

Within these scriptures is a prophetic Word of the LORD. It is the song of Israel after they were rescued from the Egyptians by God by the parting of the Red Sea. But it is also a foreshadowing of future events for Israel, the true Church, and for the world. Let’s look at these scriptures as they might pertain to the world today, the Church, and to Israel.

The pattern or prophecy of the song of Moses is first seen in the Exodus from Egypt. The pattern has been repeated in part several times in Israel’s history as God delivered them from captivities and oppression by their enemies. In our day we are looking at the persecution and “captivity” of God’s people by the evil in our world today and seeing the pattern being played out in part. The final fulfillment of the pattern or prophecy occurs at the end of the 7 years of tribulation when those who conquer the beast and its image and the number of its name, sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!” (Rev 15:1-3).

Now let’s turn to the scriptures.

[Exo 14:30 NASB20] So the LORD saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.

There is soon coming a day when the people of the world will be delivered from the evil and bondage that is currently trying to establish control over the world as a “new world order”, (the “cabal”, a centralized “globalist governmental system”, or a “one-world government”). This deliverance will come in the form of a great, miraculous move of God, as like the parting of the Red Sea. The result of the great move of God will be seen as the perpetrators of the evil are pulled down and destroyed.

This deliverance will not completely rid the world of all evil and the works of the devil. Scripture tells us that this will only occur at the return of the Lord Jesus at the end of 7 years of great tribulation. This deliverance does greatly restrain the lawless one and his works until the day He who restrains is taken out of the way (2 Thes 2:7). This restraining force is most probably the Holy Spirit residing in the true church. The lawless one (the Antichrist) and Satan will not be fully released until the true church is taken out of the way in the rapture.

[2Th 2:7-8 ESV] (7) For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. (8) And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.

For Israel, while they will experience this deliverance, their final deliverance comes at the end of the 7 years of the great tribulation at the LORD’s physical return to the earth. This is the final and greatest fulfillment of the prophecy of the parting of the Red Sea. The dead of God’s enemies will be very great on this day. This will be the day when all of God’s enemies will be destroyed and Satan imprisoned in the abyss for 1000 years. This is the day Israel sings the song of Moses.

[Rev 15:1-3 ESV] (1) Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished. (2) And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire--and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. (3) And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!

For the true church, this day comes in its finality when the LORD comes with a shout and the blast of the shofar to take His bride away to be with Him forever at the rapture of the church.

[1Th 4:16-18 ESV] (16) For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. (17) Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. (18) Therefore encourage one another with these words.

[Exo 14:31 NASB20] When Israel saw the great power which the LORD had used against the Egyptians, the people feared the LORD, and they believed in the LORD and in His servant Moses.

As a consequence of this great current move of God people will for a season fear the LORD and many will believe in the LORD. There will be a season of a great ingathering of people into God’s Kingdom.

For Israel, there will be a final ingathering during the 7 years of tribulation when they will be saved by the “blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life unto death” (Rev 12:11).

For the true church, this season of ingathering could be the final “gleaning of the wheat fields” resulting in the fullness of the Gentiles and the rapture of true believers.

[Rom 11:25-27 ESV] (25) Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. (26) And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, "The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob"; (27) "and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins."

[Exo 15:1 NASB20] Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to the LORD, saying: "I will sing to the LORD, for He is highly exalted; The horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea.

For God’s people in our day there will be a time of joy and rejoicing; a time of great praising and exalting of the LORD. The destruction of the horse and its rider represent the army of evil, both men, women, and demons that have been the instruments of Satan in implementing his evil plans.

For Israel, this day of celebration occurs at the end of the 7 years of the great tribulation.

For the true church, this day of celebration occurs at the rapture of the church.

[Exo 15:2 NASB20] "The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father's God, and I will exalt Him.

The LORD will be praised and exalted during these seasons as He rescues His people from the hand of Satan and his minions. 

[Exo 15:3 NASB20] "The LORD is a warrior; The LORD is His name.

These are seasons where the LORD comes not as the Lamb of God, but as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, a warrior, the Commander of the Armies of Heaven.

[Exo 15:4 NASB20] "Pharaoh's chariots and his army He has thrown into the sea; And the choicest of his officers are drowned in the Red Sea.

Note here that the “choicest officers”, the leaders of all of this current evil on the earth are destroyed. These will be the key individuals who are working to establish this new world order. Some are already known and others will soon be exposed and revealed. In the end, all of God’s enemies are destroyed and Satan is imprisoned at the Lord’s coming.

[Exo 15:5 NASB20] "The waters cover them; They went down into the depths like a stone.

Going down into the depths hints that these key people will die and descend into the abyss.

[Exo 15:6 NASB20] "Your right hand, LORD, is majestic in power; Your right hand, LORD, destroys the enemy.

It is the LORD who destroys the enemy. Even though He uses men in the process, even these will say that it was God that brought about these great victories over the evil. The plan and the power to implement the plan are so great and miraculous that only God could be there source.

[Exo 15:7 NASB20] "And in the greatness of Your excellence You overthrow those who rise up against You; You send out Your burning anger, [and] it consumes them like chaff.

Some people are working to establish this one-world government (really Satan’s kingdom on the earth) because they have been deceived into believing that it is a good thing and/or that they will greatly personally benefit in it. Then others are true Luciferins who worship Satan and are the true enemies of God. For these, there is only the burning anger or wrath of God that consumes them like chaff.

The final defeat of God’s enemies comes during the days of His wrath; the days preceding His return to earth as King of kings and LORD of lords. These current events are only a foreshadowing of their final defeat.

[Exo 15:8 NASB20] "At the blast of Your nostrils the waters were piled up, The flowing waters stood up like a heap; The depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.

[Exo 15:9 NASB20] "The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoils; I shall be satisfied against them; I will draw my sword, my hand will destroy them.'

[Exo 15:10 NASB20] "You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters.

The enemies of God will boast, proclaim loudly, rant and rave, and believe that they can secede in implementing their evil plans to destroy God’s people by force and establish their kingdom. But by the breath of His mouth, the LORD will destroy them.

[Exo 15:11 NASB20] "Who is like You among the gods, LORD? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, Awesome in praises, working wonders?

[Exo 15:13 NASB20] "In Your faithfulness You have led the people whom You have redeemed; In Your strength You have guided [them] to Your holy habitation.

Note that it is God’s love for and faithfulness to His redeemed people that He is guiding them to His Holy Habitation, the ultimate promised land. All of this deliverance from the current evil is a part of His plan to get people into His Kingdom and eventually into His presence in Heaven.

For all Israel, this occurs at the end of the 7 years of the great tribulation when God completes His covenant promises to them and takes away their sins.

[Rom 11:25-27 ESV] (25) Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. (26) And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, "The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob"; (27) "and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins."

[Zec 13:1 ESV] (1) "On that day there shall be a fountain opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and uncleanness.

For the true church, this occurs at the rapture of the church; the days of the fulness of the Gentiles (Rom 11:25-26). This occurs before the wrath of God is poured out at the end of the age.

[1Th 4:16-18 ESV] (16) For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. (17) Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. [Rev 3:10 ESV] (10) Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

[1Th 1:10 ESV] (10) and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

[1Th 5:9 ESV] (9) For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, ... [1Th 5:11 NKJV] (11) Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

[Exo 15:14 NASB20] "The peoples have heard, they tremble; Anguish has gripped the inhabitants of Philistia.

This great current deliverance will cause the people of the world who do not know the LORD to either come to Him or tremble in fear of Him at what He has just done.

[Exo 15:15 NASB20] "Then the chiefs of Edom were terrified; The leaders of Moab, trembling grips them; All the inhabitants of Canaan have despaired

The leaders of nations will be seized with the fear of the LORD. Some will turn to Him and believe in Him, others will harden their hearts towards Him, but in rebellion and in fear of Him.

[Exo 15:16 NASB20] "Terror and dread fall upon them; By the greatness of Your arm they are motionless as stone, Until Your people pass over, LORD, Until the people pass over whom You have purchased.

This fear of God will persist until all of God’s people are safe in His Kingdom.

[Exo 15:17 NASB20] "You will bring them and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, The place, LORD, which You have made as Your dwelling, The sanctuary, LORD, which Your hands have established.

There will be a season of the LORD planting His people in positions on the earth to complete His great commission. But the promise is that eventually they will be found in His sanctuary, His dwelling place in heaven.

[Exo 15:18 NASB20] "The LORD shall reign forever and ever."

The LORD is now reigning from His throne in heaven. He will reign for 1000 years on the earth with His Church beside Him after His return. And after 1000 years He will reign forever and ever over the new heaven and new earth.

[Exo 15:19 NASB20] For the horses of Pharaoh with his chariots and his horsemen went into the sea, and the LORD brought back the waters of the sea on them, but the sons of Israel walked on dry land through the midst of the sea.

The Father’s sons and daughters will walk through the storms of this world as if on dry land. Even in the midst of a sea of storms, God’s children will be safe and victorious, more than conquerors through him who loved us.

 [Rom 8:35-39 ESV] (35) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? (36) As it is written, "For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered." (37) No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (38) For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, (39) nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is also a hint here that the very storms (plans. schemes) of the enemy will be the very things that destroy them.

 

[Exo 15:20 NASB20] Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took the tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dancing.

[Exo 15:21 NASB20] And Miriam answered them, "Sing to the LORD, for He is highly exalted; The horse and his rider He has hurled into the sea."

We note here that after the LORD’s great miracle deliverance from the current evil in the world Miriam, representing the believing women of the world are especially rejoicing. It seems that what has happened has a special significance for the women of the world who have faithfully stood by and served the LORD during previous times of trouble and testing.

And for all of God’s children, the final day of deliverance will be a very great day of celebration. There is going to be a wedding in heaven and a very great celebration as the wedding of King Jesus and His Bride takes place. All of creation has been waiting for this day.

[Rom 8:19 NLT] (19) For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.

[Rev 19:7 ESV] (7) Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;

Certainly, after the Lord returns and establishes His Kingdom here on the earth there will be a great celebration, rejoicing, singing, and dancing. God’s Kingdom has come and His will will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Mat 6:9-10).

[Mat 4:10 ESV] Then Jesus said to him, "Be gone, Satan! For it is written, "'You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'"

Short, full of authority and power. Quoted scripture.

[Mat 6:9 ESV] Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

[Mat 6:10 ESV] Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

[Mat 6:11 ESV] Give us this day our daily bread,

[Mat 6:12 ESV] and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

[Mat 6:13 ESV] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Teaching His disciples how to pray.

[Mat 11:25 ESV] At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children;

Gives thanks to the Father. Jesus’ prayers were full of thanksgiving.

[Mat 11:26 ESV] yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.

Declares the Father’s will.

[Mat 26:36 ESV] Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, "Sit here, while I go over there and pray."

Prayed by Himself apart from others.

[Mat 26:39 ESV] And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will."

[Mat 26:42 ESV] Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, "My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done."

[Mat 26:44 ESV] So, leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words again.

Expressed His human instinct to avoid pain and trouble but pledged to do the Father’s will.

[Mat 27:46 ESV] And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" that is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

[Mar 4:39 ESV] And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Short, direct, expresses authority over nature.

[Mar 5:8 ESV] For he was saying to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!"

A direct, simple command full of authority and power.

[Mar 5:41 ESV] Taking her by the hand he said to her, "Talitha cumi," which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise."

Raised the dead with 5 words.

[Mar 7:34 ESV] And looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, "Ephphatha," that is, "Be opened."

One word prayer.

[Mar 8:33 ESV] But turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, "Get behind me, Satan! For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man."

Discerned the influence of Satan and showed His authority and power over Satan himself.

[Mar 9:25 ESV] And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again."

A direct command to cast a demon out of a person.

[Mar 9:29 ESV] And he said to them, "This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer."

Revealed that there is a level of a hierarchy of demonic power, some powerful demons require prayer and sometimes fasting as well as a command to come out.

[Mar 14:32 ESV] And they went to a place called Gethsemane. And he said to his disciples, "Sit here while I pray."

[Mar 14:36 ESV] And he said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."

[Mar 14:39 ESV] And again he went away and prayed, saying the same words.

[Mar 15:34 ESV] And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?" which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

[Luk 4:35 ESV] But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent and come out of him!" And when the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.

Jesus commands a demon to be silent.

[Luk 5:24 ESV] But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"--he said to the man who was paralyzed--"I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home."

Jesus showed His authority to forgive sins by healing a paralyzed man.

[Luk 7:14 ESV] Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, "Young man, I say to you, arise."

[Luk 8:29 ESV] For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. (For many a time it had seized him. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles, but he would break the bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert.)

[Luk 8:54 ESV] But taking her by the hand he called, saying, "Child, arise."

Two words.

[Luk 9:42 ESV] While he was coming, the demon threw him to the ground and convulsed him. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.

Jesus rebukes the demon and heals at the same time.

[Luk 10:21 ESV] In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.

Thanking the Father.

[Luk 22:42 ESV] saying, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."

[Luk 22:44 ESV] And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

[Luk 23:34 ESV] And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." And they cast lots to divide his garments.

[Luk 23:43 ESV] And he said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise."

Forgives the thief at the last moment and promises him paradise.

[Luk 23:46 ESV] Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!" And having said this he breathed his last.

[Jhn 11:41 ESV] So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

[Jhn 11:43 ESV] When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out."

Three words to raise the dead.

[Jhn 12:27 ESV] "Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? But for this purpose I have come to this hour.

[Jhn 12:28 ESV] Father, glorify your name." Then a voice came from heaven: "I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again."

The Father responds to the Lord’s prayer.

 

Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer

[Jhn 17:1 ESV] When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you,

[Jhn 17:2 ESV] since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

[Jhn 17:3 ESV] And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

[Jhn 17:4 ESV] I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.

[Jhn 17:5 ESV] And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

[Jhn 17:6 ESV] "I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.

[Jhn 17:7 ESV] Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you.

[Jhn 17:8 ESV] For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.

[Jhn 17:9 ESV] I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.

[Jhn 17:10 ESV] All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.

[Jhn 17:11 ESV] And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.

[Jhn 17:12 ESV] While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

[Jhn 17:13 ESV] But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

[Jhn 17:14 ESV] I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

[Jhn 17:15 ESV] I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.

[Jhn 17:16 ESV] They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

[Jhn 17:17 ESV] Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

[Jhn 17:18 ESV] As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

[Jhn 17:19 ESV] And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

[Jhn 17:20 ESV] "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,

[Jhn 17:21 ESV] that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

[Jhn 17:22 ESV] The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,

[Jhn 17:23 ESV] I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

[Jhn 17:24 ESV] Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.

[Jhn 17:25 ESV] O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me.

[Jhn 17:26 ESV] I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them."

Following the Lord’s example, If we prayed a prayer as Jesus prayed in His High Priestly Prayer to the Father as ambassadors of Christ and His priests on this earth, what might that be like? This is my attempt at praying a prayer like this.

 Father, we your children desire to glorify your Son that you may be glorified on this earth. We thank you for giving Jesus’ authority over all flesh, and for giving eternal life to all whom you have given Him. Thank you that your church can glorify you by accomplishing the work that you gave to us to do. We so desire to behold your glory and the glory of your son that you had before the world existed and to bring you glory on this earth.

Father, we thank you for the privilege of manifesting your name to the world and for the many souls that have come to you as we preach the gospel and tell the world of the Messiah Jesus who you sent to be a sacrifice for the sins of all men. Thank you for giving us the words to speak that caused them to know the truth that Jesus came from you, and they have believed that you sent Him. Thank you not only for those that have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior but also for those that are yet to believe.

Thank you, Father, that we the church are no longer in the world but have our citizenship in your Kingdom. Thank you for giving us your Holy Spirit to empower us and make us all one that we can be one with each other and one with you in the Holy Spirit. Father we the church long for the day that you will send Jesus to catch up His bride that we may see Him face to face and be with Him and you forever that our joy may be full. And thank you for being with us now, keeping us safe and secure in your presence, and for our future destiny in your Kingdom as the bride of Christ as we represent you now in this fallen world.

I encourage you the reader to pray your own priestly prayer to our Father in Heaven following the Lord’s example.

 

How did Jesus deal with demons?

[Mar 1:25 ESV] But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent, and come out of him!"

The Apostles pray for healing and casting out demons

[Act 16:18 ESV] And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And it came out that very hour.

[Act 3:6 ESV] But Peter said, "I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!"

[Act 9:34 ESV] And Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed." And immediately he rose.

[Act 19:12 ESV] so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.

[Mar 9:26 ESV] And after crying out and convulsing him terribly, it came out, and the boy was like a corpse, so that most of them said, "He is dead."

[Mar 16:17 ESV] And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

[Luk 9:1 ESV] And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases,

Dealing with Unclean Spirits (demons)

[Mat 12:43 ESV] "When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none.

[Mat 12:44 ESV] Then it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order.

[Mat 12:45 ESV] Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation."

[Mar 1:23 ESV] And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out,

[Mar 1:26 ESV] And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, came out of him.

[Mar 5:2 ESV] And when Jesus had stepped out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit.

Dealing with Demons (unclean spirits)

[Mat 8:31 ESV] And the demons begged him, saying, "If you cast us out, send us away into the herd of pigs."

[Mat 8:32 ESV] And he said to them, "Go." So they came out and went into the pigs, and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the waters.

[Mat 9:32 ESV] As they were going away, behold, a demon-oppressed man who was mute was brought to him.

[Mat 9:33 ESV] And when the demon had been cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, "Never was anything like this seen in Israel."

[Mat 12:22 ESV] Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw.

[Mat 15:22 ESV] And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon."

[Mat 17:18 ESV] And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was healed instantly.

[Mar 5:15 ESV] And they came to Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man, the one who had had the legion, sitting there, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.

[Mar 7:26 ESV] Now the woman was a Gentile, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter.

Praying effective prayers

Pray like Jesus and the apostles did.

[Mat 6:5 ESV] "And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

[Mat 6:6 ESV] But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

[Mat 6:7 ESV] "And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.

[Mat 6:8 ESV] Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

[Mat 6:9 ESV] Pray then like this: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

[Mat 6:10 ESV] Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

[Mat 6:11 ESV] Give us this day our daily bread,

[Mat 6:12 ESV] and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

[Mat 6:13 ESV] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

[Eph 6:18 NLT] Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Jesus’ prayers were short, full of wisdom, discernment, authority and power, direct, precise and to the point. His disciples prayed in the same manner. In His name we carry His authority and power. He has given us the authority to bind and loose. He has given us authority over all demonic and the power of the enemy and to heal all kinds of sickness and disease. We should be following His example in our prayers.

[Mat 16:19 NKJV] "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

[Luk 9:1 NKJV] Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.

[Luk 10:19 NKJV] "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

[Mat 10:1 NKJV] And when He had called His twelve disciples to [Him], He gave them power [over] unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

[Mat 10:8 NKJV] "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
