1 Ch 12:32 Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command.

The sons of Issachar were intelligent men, who understood the signs of the times, well versed in political affairs, and knew what was proper to be done in all the exigencies of human life; and who now perceived that it was both the duty and political interest of Israel to advance David to the throne.Today we seek sons and daughters of Issachar, men and women who understand the times we are living in and know what is to be done in all the exigencies of human life to advance King Jesus to His throne.

This blog is devoted to seeking Biblical truth related to current world events.

Faith as a Mustard Seed

Faith as a Mustard Seed
[Mat 17:20 NKJV] So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
[Luk 17:6 NKJV] So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.
What does a mustard seed do? A mustard seed produces a mustard plant or tree.
·         A very small mustard seed can grow into a large tree very quickly.
·         It will grow in very arid, rocky, and poor soil and will flourish on many different types of soil.
·         It tolerates extremes of weather without serious harm.
·         It grows quickly and with great tenacity, perseverance, and strength. It is known to even push rocks aside as it grows.
·         It is good for the ground that it is planted in breaking up hard and rocky soil, bringing life to what otherwise would be dry and barren land and providing protection for other plants that grow under the mustard tree.
·         The mustard plant secretes a chemical that drives insects away and protects itself from disease. They suffer from unusually few insect pests or plant diseases
·         It has medicinal and nutritional value as well as flavoring as a condiment.
Do you have faith as (or like) a mustard seed?
·         It is not so much the size of your faith that matters. What matters is that your faith is growing, even in a very arid and rocky places.
·         It matters that your faith is persistent and tenacious even when rocks get in your way.
·         It matters that the ground where you are planted is benefitting from your presence.
·         It matters that your faith is producing an environment that is driving darkness and the devourer away.
·         It matters that your faith is healing, nourishing, and providing a pleasant flavoring to those around you.
·         It matters that your faith is producing a mustard tree.

What is this tree that faith produces?
[Mat 13:31 NKJV] Another parable He put forth to them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,
[Mat 13:32 NKJV] "which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches."
[Luk 13:18 NKJV] Then He said, "What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?
[Luk 13:19 NKJV] "It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches."
The Kingdom of God, is a place where people can find freedom, peace, safety, protection, provision, healing, purpose, comfort, love, eternal life and God’s presence.
Our faith in God produces the Kingdom of God on earth.
