1 Ch 12:32 Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command.

The sons of Issachar were intelligent men, who understood the signs of the times, well versed in political affairs, and knew what was proper to be done in all the exigencies of human life; and who now perceived that it was both the duty and political interest of Israel to advance David to the throne.Today we seek sons and daughters of Issachar, men and women who understand the times we are living in and know what is to be done in all the exigencies of human life to advance King Jesus to His throne.

This blog is devoted to seeking Biblical truth related to current world events.

Dealing with the corona virus.

Looking from a spiritual standpoint, my personal take on this current virus situation is that it is an attempt by Satan and his human minions (the worldwide cabal - globalists or one-world government) to derail God's plan for a great ingathering of lost souls. God is not surprised by the devil's plans and God will, in the end, turn all of this evil into good. The current turmoil we are seeing all around the world is just reflective of a great spiritual battle going on in the spiritual realm. We are in a spiritual battle and we must fight with spiritual weapons. " For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places."

[2Co 10:3-5 NLT] 3 We are human, but we don't wage war as humans do. 4 We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.
[Eph 6:10-18 NLT] 10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle, you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

The overall picture is that beginning at Passover this year we are going to see a move of God to begin a great ingathering of the lost and a great empowering of the true Church. At Purim this year, a 30-day plan to deal with the virus (a great evil) in the USA was launched. But as in the original story of Purim, "Haman's" (the devil's) evil plan (the virus) to destroy the Jews (God's people) was turned into a great deliverance. The end of this 30-day current period is Passover, the greatest deliverance that mankind has ever seen. Passover initiates a 50 day period of reaping, the first harvest of the reaping season, the barley harvest. Prophetically this pictures a time of preparation for the next feast, Pentecost. Historically, it was a time when the resurrected Jesus walked with His disciples to prepare them for the coming of the Holy Spirit and sending them out to take the Gospel into the whole world.
[Act 1:8 NLT] 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere-in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
[Act 2:16-21 NLT] 16 No, what you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel: 17 'In the last days,' God says, 'I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. 18 In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants--men and women alike--and they will prophesy. 19 And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below--blood and fire and clouds of smoke. 20 The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the LORD arrives. 21 But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.'
Note that both Joel and Peter associated this pouring out of the Holy Spirit with the "last days".

You can see the potential prophetic significance of all of this for today. It would be consistent with the Feasts of Israel for a new empowering of God's people to really take off about Pentecost at the end of May. This Feast of Israel initiated the second reaping of the reaping season, the wheat harvest (the gathering of the Church). Today we might see this as a "gleaning" of the wheat fields.  Following the prophecies of the Feasts of Israel, it would not be surprising to see a significant attack on Israel occur at the time of the Fast of Mourning (the 9th of Av) at the end of July. As we come to the Feast of Tabernacles in September we could see a period of great ingathering. If President Trump is reelected, which he should be, this revival will continue to 2024 unless his last 4 years are interrupted by some unexpected event or events. After that???

For the true believer, born again and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, these are going to be great times. It is in His power, and for His glory that we take our stand in the battle. In this dark and tumultuous world, we are to be the servants of the Most High that bring His light into a dark world. We are to be the light and salt that leads people to the Lord Jesus.

[Mat 5:13-16 NASB] 13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty [again?] It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. 14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor does [anyone] light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
[Dan 12:3 NLT] 3 Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.
[Isa 9:2 NLT] 2  The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.
[Isa 58:10 NLT] 10 Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.
[Jhn 1:5 NLT] 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

The scripture that is on everybody's lips today is Psalm 91. Let's live by it!
TRUST THE PLAN! God's plan. It is a very, very good plan and the end of the story is glorious!!!!!!
