the rival generals, families, and friends of Alexander the Great who fought for

Ezekiel 38:5
Persia, Ethiopia and Put
with them, all of them {with} shield and helmet;
The
definition of Magog is now expanded to include Persia, Ethiopia (Sudan today)
and Put.
Ezekiel 38:6
Gomer with all its troops;
Beth-Togarmah {from} the remote parts of the north with all its
troops--many peoples with you.
Allies of Gog of Magog will include Persia (modern Iran,
and Iraq and Syria even extending to Afganistan and Pakistan if expanded to
include Medo-Persia), and Gomer and Togarmah. (Asia Minor). Josephus
placed this legendary Gomer and the "Gomerites" in Anatolian Galatia
(Antiquities of the Jews, I:6) or generally Turkey of today. Togarmah is the ancestor of the Turkic-speaking
peoples.
Ezekiel 38:10
'Thus says the Lord GOD, "It will come about on that day, that thoughts
will come into your mind and you
will devise an evil plan,
This
invasion is part of a great evil plan formulated by Gog (Satan).
The
land invaded is a land of unwalled villages, and the people are living in
relative security.
Ezekiel 38:12 to capture spoil and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places which are {now} inhabited, and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired cattle and goods, who live at the center of the world.'
Ezekiel 38:13
"Sheba and Dedan and
the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages will say to you, 'Have
you come to capture spoil? Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to
carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to capture great
spoil?' '"
Sheba
and Dedan represent the nations of southern Arabia. These could represent
modern Saudi Arabia and the smaller nations of the Gulf Coast. The merchants of
Tarshish most probably represent the seafaring trader nations of a distant part
of the Mediterranean Sea. The villages sometimes translated young lions, of
these Mediterranean nations, would be the “offspring” of these nations which
could lead us to speculate that these represent nations like the USA and Canada
and other colonies of western, Mediterranean Europe. What is important to note
here is that these nations make only a weak, verbal protest to this invasion of
Israel.

He added that the Jewish state made peace with two Arab

The two Gulf States become the third and fourth countries in
the Middle East to recognize Israel and establish formal diplomatic relations
with the Jewish State since Egypt did so in 1979 and Jordan in 1994, drastically
re-drawing the political map in the region.
Several diplomatic sources
have hinted that the Sultanate of Oman - which Netanyahu famously visited in
2018 - would be the next country to announce a normalization agreement with
Israel. Oman's leader spoke with Trump last week. Saudi Arabia, which allowed
an Israeli and American delegation to cross its airspace in August for the
first direct flight between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, is also said
to be considering a warming of ties with Israel even though Saudi leaders have
said publicly that they are not yet ready for full normalization.
