1 Ch 12:32 Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command.

The sons of Issachar were intelligent men, who understood the signs of the times, well versed in political affairs, and knew what was proper to be done in all the exigencies of human life; and who now perceived that it was both the duty and political interest of Israel to advance David to the throne.Today we seek sons and daughters of Issachar, men and women who understand the times we are living in and know what is to be done in all the exigencies of human life to advance King Jesus to His throne.

This blog is devoted to seeking Biblical truth related to current world events.

Facing the Giants and Taking the Land

Facing the Giants and taking the land  (11-12-2020)

As we face the days ahead (after the election in the USA of 2020), we find ourselves facing a situation that reminds me of Joshua and the Israelites as they faced the giants as they prepared to cross the Jordan and take the land that was promised to them by God.

[Jos 1:1 ESV] After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, the LORD said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' assistant,

[Jos 1:2 ESV] "Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.

[Jos 1:3 ESV] Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses.

[Jos 1:5 ESV] No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.

[Jos 1:6 ESV] Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.

[Jos 1:7 ESV] Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.

[Jos 1:8 ESV] This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

[Jos 1:9 ESV] Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

This promise to Joshua is the same promise that God gave to Moses.

[Deu 11:22 ESV] For if you will be careful to do all this commandment that I command you to do, loving the LORD your God, walking in all his ways, and holding fast to him,

[Deu 11:23 ESV] then the LORD will drive out all these nations before you, and you will dispossess nations greater and mightier than you.

[Deu 11:24 ESV] Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours. Your territory shall be from the wilderness to the Lebanon and from the River, the river Euphrates, to the western sea.

[Deu 11:25 ESV] No one shall be able to stand against you. The LORD your God will lay the fear of you and the dread of you on all the land that you shall tread, as he promised you.

[Deu 11:26 ESV] "See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse:

[Deu 11:27 ESV] the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today,

[Deu 11:28 ESV] and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way that I am commanding you today, to go after other gods that you have not known.

There is a lesion or principle here for us today as we are facing giants that are attempting to steal our promised land from us, the USA.  Many people are trying to tell us that these “giants” are too many and too strong for us to overcome. Our enemies use lies, deception, intimidation, fear, manipulation, and control, and even violence to establish their power and control, their evil form of government in our land.

In Numbers 13 and 14 we read the story of how Moses sent 10 spies into the promised land. They came back with an evil report that there were giants in the land and they could not conquer them. Only Caleb and Joshua believed God and were not intimidated by circumstances or what they saw in the natural. The result was disastrous for the Israelites. For 40 years they wandered in the desert and died there. Only their children under Joshua's leadership finally made it into the promised land.

We have a choice today. Are we going to believe the bad report, or are we going to follow our “Joshua”, Jesus the Lord into our land, “One Nation Under God”?

Victory is ours if we obey the Lord.

There are several keys to victory here. First, we must believe and obey our Lord and refuse to believe the “bad” reports. We are to be strong and courageous and have no fear or be dismayed and we are to believe that the Lord is with us. But we are also to march into the “land”. We are to “tread” on the land. This “tread” is the Hebrew word darak.

Shall tread (Darak - to tread, bend, lead, march)

A.           (Qal)

i.to tread, march, march forth

ii.to tread on, tread upon

iii.to tread (a press)

iv.to tread (bend) a bow

v.archer, bow-benders (participle)

B.           (Hiphil)

 .to tread, tread down

i.to tread (bend with the foot) a bow

ii.to cause to go, lead, march, tread

The word darak implies marching like an army, treading upon the enemy, bending a bow, or loading a weapon to shoot at the enemy. It is an aggressive military term used in the IDF even today when a commander readies his troops to charge by calling our “darak” meaning load your weapons.

Our Commander, the Lord Almighty, is calling out “darak”. Charge, take the land for I am with you. This is a call for intercession that shoots at specific targets. I feel along with many other watchmen, that right now we need to target some specific states where there has been great deception and voter fraud.  PA, MI, WI, GA, AZ, NV, and VA seem to be the key states. Let’s target our prayers to reveal the fraud, provide evidence and witnesses to be used in court battles, correct the vote count, and bring justice to those that are trying to use fraud, lies, deception, intimidation, fear, manipulation, and control, and even violence to establish their power and control, their evil form of government in our land.
