The Mystery of the Exodus
In Jonathan Cahn’s book, The Book of Mysteries, there is a
teaching on The Exodus Factor. It deals with the Ivrim (the Hebrews). The Ivrim
means “the one who crosses over”. The Hebrews crossed over the Red Sea to get
out of Egypt, and they crossed over the Jordan to get into the Promised Land.
But in order to cross over and enter the new, they had to leave something. The principle is that in order to enter
into something new, one must leave something else. Even Abraham, the first
Hebrew had to leave his old country to get into the new. Abraham’s first call
from God was “get out of your country….and to a land I will show you”. The same
principle applied to the Lord’s disciples. They had to leave their old way of
life to follow Him.
Today as we leave 2016 and enter into 2017, each of us needs
to consider just what it is that we want to enter into in 2017. And to enter
into the new, the principle tells us that we must leave something. This is a
good time to reflect on what it is that you need to leave in order to enter
into the new.
As Cahn writes, “Where do you need to go? What promised land
has God called you to enter? What must you first leave? Begin your exodus
today.”
