A word for today, 8/24/2021
From Deut 32:
Duet 32:1-30 Like
Israel America fell away from God, became self-righteous, became a crooked and
twisted generation, worshiped strange gods, and with abominations, provoked God
to anger. Then God for a season hides His face from America and America came
into a season of chastisement. Verse 30 – like with Afghanistan, how could “one”
have chased a thousand unless their Rock a sold them, and the Lord had given
them up?
Yet God then has mercy on His people lest God’s enemies
misunderstand and say “Our hand is triumphant; it was not the Lord who did all
this” (verse 27).
Duet 32:31-47 Here God turns on the enemies of His people and
declares that “Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the day of their calamity
is at hand, and their doom comes swiftly”. Verse 43 – “Rejoice with Him,)
heavens; bow down to His, all gods, for He avenges the blood of His children
and takes vengeance on His adversaries. He repays those who hate Him and cleanses
His people’s land.”
America
is suffering right now. But it is a season of chastisement, not punishment. Now
we are swiftly approaching the time when God is moving in His mercy and love
for America to destroy her and His enemies
[Deu 32:43, 45-47
ESV] (43) "Rejoice with him, O heavens; bow down to him, all gods, for he
avenges the blood of his children and takes vengeance on his adversaries. He
repays those who hate him and cleanses his people's land." ... (45) And
when Moses had finished speaking all these words to all Israel, (46) he said to
them, "Take to heart all the words by which I am warning you today, that
you may command them to your children, that they may be careful to do all the
words of this law. (47) For it is no empty word for you, but your very life,
and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the
Jordan to possess."
Where we are in God’s timeline – Matt 24:3-14
The beginning of the birth pains.
[Mat 24:3 ESV] As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the
disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things
be, and what will be the
sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"
[Mat 24:4 ESV] And Jesus answered them, "See that no
one leads you astray.
We are living in times of great deception.
[Mat 24:5 ESV] For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am
the Christ,' and they will lead many astray.
[Mat 24:6 ESV] And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that
you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
[Mat 24:7 ESV] For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
This is the condition of our world today.
[Mat 24:8 ESV] All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
The birth pains of the coming of Jesus as King of kings
have begun.
[Mat 24:9 ESV] "Then they will deliver you up to
tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my
name's sake.
[Mat 24:10 ESV] And then many will fall away and betray one
another and hate one another.
[Mat 24:11 ESV] And many false prophets will arise and lead
many astray.
[Mat 24:12 ESV] And because lawlessness will be increased,
the love of many will grow cold.
We are living in days of trouble, hatred of Jews and
Christians, betrayals, false teachings, great lawlessness, and love in the
world is growing cold, being replaced by anger and hate.
[Mat 24:13 ESV] But the one who endures to the end will be
saved.
The faithful must endure through it all for there is
great work yet to be done.
[Mat 24:14 ESV] And this gospel of the kingdom will be
proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then
the end will come.
Before the end, there is going to be a great ingathering
throughout all nations. This is the task and challenge set before us today.
[Dan 11:32 NKJV] "Those who do wickedly against the
covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry
out [great exploits].
[Jos 10:25 NASB20] Joshua then said to them, "Do not fear or be
dismayed! Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will do this to all your enemies
with whom you fight."
[1Ch 28:20 NASB20] Then David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and
courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God, my God, is
with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the
service of the house of the LORD is finished.
[2Ch 32:7 NASB20] "Be strong and courageous, do not fear or be dismayed because of
the king of Assyria nor because of all the horde that is with him; for [the
One] with us is greater than [the one] with him.
[Jos 1:9 NASB20] "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be
terrified nor dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you
go."
